Porcelain Kwan Yin Figurine- Chinese or Japanese?

by Dimitar
(USA)

Hello , I just bought this figurine and I am trying to find more about it. The figurine is relatively small - about 6 inches but is don in incredible detail. I have seen many figurines and I can tell that this of one is of exceptional quality. I will be very happy if someone can translate the markings on the bottom which to me look Japanese but I am not certain.Thank you in advance!

This is a modern item. I can't read the mark, but the bottom looks indeed as if it were Japanese.
