I think this is a ginger jar. It doesn't seem all that old to me, but not all too new, either. The only marking is a 10. on the bottom of the jar,

Thanks Peter. Is it Chinese and do you know where it might have been made, or what the 10. represents?



A: Yes, in China I guess, but relatively recent. From these pictures it even looks as if it was printed, either partially or as a whole.
No idea what the number stands for.
