Please Help Identify This Old Bowl

Thanks in advance for your help in identifying this bowl, which I believe to be an antique. One diameter across the top is 8", another is 8.5" - uneven, lopsided shape.

Thanks so much, Peter. Do you know what the chinese characters mean?


The four characters I can see mean "a long life compares to South Mountain".
(The picture on the bowl symbolizes Longlife.)

This seems to be about first quarter of 20th century, late Qing dynasty or early republic, probably.
