Please help identify this old bowl

I know absolutely nothing about Asian antiques, but I am pretty sure that his bowl is old. I'm not sure if its Chinese or Japanese. It has no signature or identifying marks on it. I was hoping someone could help me find out approximately how old this may be and any other information you may know about this type of bowl.
