Please Help Identify! Cup Chinese Asian Green Crackled Glaze

by CC
(Dayton, OH)

MAKER'S MARK

I have no idea if these are truly "cups". I only have two and one is slightly larger than the other. The glaze is crackled. They appear to have been possibly a mold because the leaves and flowers on them are raised. They are clay because you can see the red clay on the bottom ring. The maker's marks are either hand painted or stamped.. I believe stamped because they are too perfect to be hand painted. I'm trying to identify the maker and pattern... would love to know how old these are and why they are two different sizes.

celadon
by: Tim

The crackles in this case have nothing to do with age. They were created intentionally to resemble a certain type of celadon created hundreds of years ago which came out of the kiln with accicental crackles in the glaze. They were caused by cold air accidentally entering the kiln at a certain stage in the firing.

Celadon..
by: CC

The Celadon, once I viewed some pieces, does resemble what I've got here. The crackling and overall "look" of these two pieces makes me question the age though. I really feel they are older than 20 years. I wish someone would come along who could shed some light on the maker's mark. Thank you for your help!

Actually, these cups are most likely Korean celadon.

Celadon cups
by: Tim

These "cups" appear to have a crackled sea green celadon glaze. Probably stoneware or porcelain burnt red at the exposed foot rim. Mark looks Japanese and items likely made within the last 20 years.

Maybe someone else can help? The cups and marks look Japanese, and which I cannot tell the age.
