Why is there 2 print & what is written? When is the year?

could the drilled characters on this itmem be a family name ?
I have a pattipan in my collection, and there is also a drilled name on it, so when the neighbours wash the dishes when eating with eachother, they could see who's it from, so i was told

No year is given. Only the first and last character is clearly visible, so cannot read the mark proper.
The other is drilled and not writing. These symbols often are not characters per se. Please read about them under "Marks" in the left menu.
