Oriental Vase

by Richard
(Wilton, Maine)

Mom's Vase

Mom's Vase

My mother has this oriental vase that was her mother's in the 1930s. It is about two feet tall and about one foot wide at the widest point. It has no markings on it. Can you identify it? Thank you very much.

oriental vase not Chinese
by: peter

Hello,

This is definitely not a Chinese antique.
Without the figure on top I would think it is European.
My guess is that it could be Japanese, but I am not sure.
I recommend you post this on asianart.com to see if someone knows more about it.
