Oriental storage jar

by Roger
(UK)

Hello there, I am hoping someone may be able to tell me more about an oriental jar I have, possibly a ginger jar? I believe it to be Chinese and it looks quite an age. I can assure you this is old and not a modern reproduction. Has light crazing and also a few bits of teh foot rim chipped off, but still displays well. Any ideas on exact origins (is it Chinese) or date of this piece? It is photographed beside a bottle of tipp-ex to give an idea of size.

Any help appreciated. Thanks!

I have a jar like this too
by: PJ Pintor

Have you found anything out about it?
I have a signature made with a brush underneath, not with a stamp.
I thought perhaps it was 14/15 century Yuan Dynasty?
I'd love to hear from you.

No, have you tried asianart.com?

Hello,

This jar does not look familiar at all. I would try asianart.com. Maybe someone recognizes it.
