Old Sandwich Plate Set

by Merilyn Lowe
(Bundaberg QLD Australia)

Hi I have and old sandwich plate set. It belonged to my grandmother who died in her 80's and she died over 30 years ago. It has a chinese pattern on it. It has a marking on the bottom but I do not know who the maker is.

Hello,
There is not Chinese pattern on this set. And, the mark is not Chinese either. That is, the decoration is imitating some Chinese elements, but it is clearly not Chinese.
It is more likely European porcelain, possibly chinoiserie. I would recommend you try to find the mark via Google image search on the Internet to identify the maker.
