Hi Linda,
Some close-up pictures would be needed, and the pictures should show natural colors. It is recommended to take them near a window in daylight.

From the current pictures I can tell you, however, that it is unlikely this is antique. The character style used in the writing, as well as the foot, seem to indicate this to be 20th century. Perhaps vintage, but details should be visible to see more.
