Ming Plate

by Garrett
(Kansas City)

I found this plate Nd wasn't sure if it was Ming or not. Also, it has a mark on the front that I thought was weird. I was going to buy it but don't know if it is worth 60 dollars. Thanks again.

This is a still very common item made over a long period of time. This one seems to be 19th century.
The mark is a stylized Jiaqing mark. (Stylized means here its characters were written in an abbreviated/simplified manner. Such stylized marks were only used during the Jiaqing reign of the Qing dynasty.)
