This has been sold to me on an antique market in south china. very simple design and a rustic kind piece of work. but i like the 'old' style. diameter 15 cm, height 6 cm

and one more thing, it is indeed a production from south of china which exported to south east asia.... :)

hey there,
this is indeed a very old bowl. it was been used mostly for the strait chinese for the workers who works at the mining factories. the deco is simple and it was used for daily purposes (as a rice bowl). and sorry to say that, the value of the bowl isnt that great. at some point, u can get it for RM90 (USD25) per piece in malaysia coz it isnt a rare piece of antique. but, nice to collect, i would say.... :)

Hello,
No, this isn't Ming. I have doubts that it is even Qing. As you state it looks "rustic", but the decoration and gloss of the glaze is more something I would expect in the 20th century.
