Jo and Uba blue and white vase

About ten years ago, a similar vase was on
display at the Mitsukoshi Dept. Store and
listed for $40,000. I didn't pay much
attention to it at the time although it
looked like my friend's vase, as I recall.

The attached three are all different, as
you can see.

Friend's vase was a wedding present given
in about 1928. The story is not clear, but
it is reported that an important person
from Japan, stationed in Manchuria brought
it back as part of a collection.

I have no control over the lighting during
the time of photographing.

jo and uba blue and white vase

A friend asked me to check with the Nezu Museum in Tokyo.
Apparently, their vase is at the British Museum. A similar vase was just sold on the Internet for $9.99. Is this one a fake or a museum piece?
