PETER HELLO I SHAW IT TO CHINES FRIEND OF MINE WORKING IN CERAMIC AND PORCALIAN SHOP HE LOOKED CAREFFULY ,AS HE WAS LOOKING FOR SOMETHING HE TOLD ME ITS HAND PAINTED,LAST THING HE LOOKED WAS THE SEAL,I TOLD HIM IT LOOKS NEW TO ME,HE SAID SOME VERY OLD ITEMS FROM CHINA LOOKS LIKE MADE YESTERDAY,SOME EXPERTS TOLD ME WE HAVE TO EXAMINE IT BY HANDS BUT FROM PICTURES LOOKS LIKE LATE 19TH CENTURY

Hello,
This is a so-called temple jar, not a ginger jar.
It is an easy to detect imitation.
Even with the small picture of the mark the latter looks as if it were printed.
