identifying my vase

by steven

hi peter,
ihave been trawling through sites and books but cannot identify my vase, ithink it is planter of some kind and had thought maybe a later piece stunning decoration and quite heavy, the decoration looks very much hand painted and outlined with a raised gold edging and then gold paint applied, also as shown in my pics is decorated with coloured tiny like beads of which looks a painsaking process, there are ring like handles and i can see crazed areas which look like part of the effect, although crazing inside the vase looks like a genuine fault, the four symbols in the reddish brown box are fairly eligable and there is a blue mark within a circle ihave never come across this and maybe thought it may be of recent making, hope you can help this is a lovely vase and displays wonderfully,
regards steven
