Identify period of this Chinese Vase

by John Paterson
(Khobar, Saudi Arabia)

I picked up this vase in the Far East in the late 90's as a chinese vase and have always been fascinated by the faces on the vase side as they remind me more of Inca's/ Aztec facial features than chinese. Unfortunately it has damaged to the lip of the vase.

Hi John,
This decoration (the face) does not look Chinese to me, although it could be from some southern kiln.

I would guess this is rather from Southeast Asia, that is Thailand or possibly Vietnam.
