Identification Assistance Needed

Dear Peter,

This figurine has "216" carved into the pre-fired clay on the bottom and "222" painted nearby under the glaze.
I'm curious as to the origin, markings and description of the figure. She is 13.5 inches tall and about 6.5 inches wide.

Thanks a ton!

Jim

figurine of Bodhisattva

I cannot help more with this than telling you that this seems to be a female Bodhisattva figurine, and it is likely Japanese judging from the bottom. This should give you a start for further research.
