Identfy my maker of china ( I think )

by Garry
(Garden Grove, Calif.)

I have 6 piece Tea set,3 plates & tea pot, creamer & sugar bowl. I can't find who the manufacture is. It has on the bottom a black rectangle, about 5/8th inch long with 2 ,China or maybe Japanese hand painted gold letter or marks ?
The front is hand panted and is some green bamboo with leaves and a bush white & pink flowers
and 3 or 4 what look like white cranes with some black on the neck and legs and a little red on the head. It has a black border around the plates with a gold designs, sugar bowls, tea pot, creamer, and lids have it too. 3 The sugar, tea pot and creamer All have lids and the bottom 1/2 of each lid has a 1 inch lip that extends down passed the top of the opening. Last I;m not sure if its porcelain, china, bone china or even ceramic?? Thanks for your time
Garry

Japanese tea set
by: peter

Japanese tea set marked "Nishibe". Cannot help much with Japanese porcelain, but maybe someone else is able to tell you more.
"Nishibe" is a family name. Probably one of the potters or shops attached to one of the Japanese kilns.
