How do I tell how old this oriental vase?

by Charles
(Sand Springs, Ok.)

I had aquired this vase from my mother many years back and I was trying to figure out if it was an actual antique and it's age.
It does have the unique painting all around and top of lid, the lid also has the beveled edge.
Thanks,
Charles

jar

This is a Fangge jar.
This type of jar is probably still being made today, or until more recently.
To decide if yours is antique, the pictures would have to be taken in daylight near a window or outside, to allow for natural colors. the colors are also an important point of reference, that is why natural light is better.
Further, a closeup picture (partial is fine) of the man on horse would be required; the face is escpecially important for evaluating age.
You can also post pictures to the web and provide the link here.
