Help identifying characters on back of ornate dish

by Nancy W
(Colorado)

I need help identifying the characters on the back of this dish. I've included a picture of the front...can anyone identify this? The size is approximately 7 1/2" diameter - pink, blue, purple flowers, green leaves on sides, raised beads inside bowl in design, lots of gold.

Thanks for the info! I'll definitely search on Kutani. I was "stuck".

Hi,
That is a Japanese plate. The mark says "Kutani" (a kiln), and "Made by Taniguchi".
You should be able to find information on Kutani on the web.
