Grandma's Blue Plate

Hi - This plate was handed down to me by my grandmother. No one in the family seems to know where it came from. I tried to take a picture of the mark on the back of the plate, but it did not turn out well. It looks like an eloborate asterisk with a small mountain on top, surrounded with a blue square. I put the picture here anyway, in the hope that someone will recognize it and forgive my poor photography.

Any tips on indentifying this will be appreciated - I definitely don't know what I am doing. :)
