GENUINE IMPERIAL YELLOW OR NOT.

by Andrew

HI Peter,
I have this yellow glazed item & one other Yongzheng Imperial marked vase, but in the past, I have submitted other pieces, which I judged to be good, but major auction houses have claimed them to be too modern & reluctantly, I stopped bothering them when I really could get no other expert opinion before hand.
I like this box as it has a beautiful deep rich yellow glaze, has minute mostly all over crazing, wear to the surface & even rainbow colour luminesence in places when you hold it at the right angle you can see it.
The porcelain gives off a beautiful ring when flicked with the finger & the lid fits perfectly too.
I think this is a quality piece, but how right am I?
sincerely yours, Andrew

Andrew,
The bottom and top look quite new to me. Although I am in no position to judge imperial items, this seems to be insufficient for being one, in my view.
