FURTHER ON IMPERIAL YELLOW BOX, MODERN OR NOT?

by andrew

Hi Peter,
thanks again for all your swift replies & info.
I do believe the images of the box top & bottom look new at that distance.
Have added one macro closeup to show crazing, which is especially more clearer to see in the thicker parts of the glaze.
Have also added a complete image of the base...there is also a very tiny network of crazing in the sealmark area of the yellow glazing, but I cannot pick it up clearly with the camera.

Would this change criteria for age or not?

I have seen comparable Daoguang period impressed seals on the net, & this one comes as close, to good as they get, but this is my own comparison & amateur view only.
regards again, Andrew.
