Follow up...authentic chinese antique?

by Brett
(Charlotte, North Carolina, USA)

Following up on my posting from yesterday...I've added some photos of the piece in natural light. Perhaps that will help zero in the authentification and identification.

You state that it is a bowl from the late Qing dynasty. Is that good? Is it an usual version from this time period that should be considered an investment quality piece? Or, is it something common that I could just serve potato chips out of at the holiday party...merely a conversation starter? Thanks very much for your assistance.

Definitely end of Qing dynasty, Guangxu reign. Not of high value, though, as it was a very common item. I guess almost every collector will have had such a piece at one time or another.
