These dishes belonged to my great-great aunt, and she left her china cabinet and its contents to me. She was well off, living on the coastline of Beverly MA. Does anyone even know what I would call them to do a search for information about them?
There are 8 fish-shaped plates white with blue design. The underneath actually have a fish scale pattern on them.
There are 6 small bowls.
There is one tiny pitcher.
I wondered if it were a fish stew or chowder set and the fish shaped dishes were bone receptacles. Or if this is a tea set with the bowls for drinking and the fish shaped dishes for a tea cake of some kind.
