Famille Rose Vase

by Vic
(Melbourne, Australia)

Hi, We thought that this was 19th century but does the base or decoration indicate it is newer? The decoration is raised - also is this classified as pottery rather than porcelain? Vic

Hi, this is probably from the fourth quarter of the 20th century. The painting style and colors are typical for that period.
There is a spurious Qianlong mark, and probably dirt or something rubbed onto the bottom to make it look older.
