Early 19th Century Chinese Vase

by Adam
(Michigan)

I recently came into possession of this vase. A note from the previous owner found inside gives some information:

"Early 19th century 15 1/4. Pottery Temple vase. Rolled Scalloped Rim. Scrolled applied handles. Beautiful deep set color. Figure in garden scene. No marking. I paid 425 in 1982 but I don't know what the price is today."

As you can see by the photos, there is a piece missing from the top. I have more photos but I don't think I can upload more than one. I was wondering if anyone has further information on this vase and what it could be worth?

Thank you for your time,

Adam

I see you already posted in the other forum. Well, it's not Chinese and not 19th century as you see.

Japanese vase

Hello,

This vase is Japanese not Chinese. We cannot help with Japanese ceramics, Im afraid.
You could try asianart_com, their forum has some members knowledgeable in Japanese ceramics.
