DIVIDED PLATE.....JAPONESE OR CHINESE?????

I PURCHASED THIS PLATE SOME TIME AGO AT A LOCAL SALE BECASE IT WAS DIFFERENT AND INTERESTING. COULD SOMEONE GIVE ANY DETAILS AS TO ORIGIN, ETC.

As mark says, made in Japan. Decoration is in style made mostly since 1910s for only export, called by Westerners 'Satsuma' but mostly made in Kyoto factories and properly called Kyo-yagi.

Decoration looks hastily done, probably in most recent 20 years, but in any case after US occupation ended in 1950s.

This is Japanese. Maybe someone else could confirm if this is Satsuma ware or not?
