I would like to know details about the pair of vases pheasant & the dragon & 2 Chinese water color paintings, translation of the Chinese characters.

Cat & the butter fly & 2 birds.

They were painted by the son in law of a famous Chinese artist.

Hello,
We can only help with porcelain. Chinese paintings requires a different set of knowledge.

As to the vases, from these small image it could be that they are late Qing dynasty or early republic.
Closer pictures showing a part of the blue decoration, the bottom, and the interior, immediately below the mouth would be required, to make sure.
