Chinese Porcelain Bowl with Spiral Mark

by Oleg
(Upstate, NY 12442)

Hello, everyone.

Would you be so kind to assist me in determination of the age, dynasty, rarity and value of this bowl.
The picture was taken in a dark warehouse and the bowl was not cleaned and washed. Thank you.

Thank you

Thank you very much, Peter. I understand the spiral in nothing unusual here and it's not a rare thing.

Hello,
The spiral in the bottom is not a mark. It is a trace from cleaning up the bottom with a tool when throwing the bowl on the wheel.

I'm afraid this is a 20th century item pretending to be antique. The crackles are artificially created crackles as those of certain antique wares, but the colors of the decoration are clearly 20th century. In my view rather later, in the second half of the 20th century.
In this case one could say: "an old look does not equal old age".
