chinese or japanese vase?

by steve F
(Worcestershire UK)

For anyone
I have a small vase from a deceased parent and as yet have been unable to establish its manufacture and origin. Any info would be welcome. Various sites either charge for info or really dont want to be bothered with this sort of trivia.
Here hoping & thanks in advance

jar

Hello,
This is a Chinese jar. Originally it would have had a lid.
The bottom looks old but closeup pictures of the decoration, especially the ladies'faces, would be needed to decide if it is late 19th century or 20th century.
