Chinese or Japanese cup and saucer? who is a maker?

by Lyudmila
(New York, USA)

This is one of few of my flea market finds. Cup and saucer found in different boxes but it looks to me as a perffect match.

There is a mark on a buttom of the cup which reminds X XX. I'm wondering is it Chinese or Japanese?

Thanks for your help.

Hi,
It is not Chinese. From the use of gilt it looks more Japanese. But, that it has three feet is something quite unusual. Normally, only censers have feet.
