Dennis vase and mark

by Dennis
(Hawaii)

Hi, Peter n Marko

Sorry, about my remarks about the vase red seal mark.
But did you say you have a book that list 1,600 marks.
Peter is the all the for authentic marks on porcelains.
If it is for both real or fake, let's say that mark was
used in the 20th on items. Would you think that mark would be in that book, i would think that mark have a
better chance to be real. I'll explain something i did
a week ago. I email to 5 antiques dealers in china, and
showed a picture of that mark. I ask if they have it or
can they get it, and amount it cost. 3 dealers said, no they can get,it's original mark, not reproduction item.
1 dealer said, not a reproduction mark, last dealer said, no, only way for me to buy one is at an big auction house. Im not saying that im right, all i want
is to find the truth about that mark, regardless if it
have value or not. I posted my vase at asianart.com, and
got 2 replys.1 was not really sure if it was real, he told me why, the other said made late 20th c. notthing
esle or why. I posted additional pics. for the person
that was not sure, to see if he will change his opinion.
But never got any replys. That did not help. Maybe we
should say (it is what it is).

(Hawaii)

hello, friends

just want to show you my millefluer vase, red iron mark.
that reads qianlong nian zhi, but mine's is not from that period. but more like latter 20th c. but regardless
what period it's from. to me, it's a very nice vase, and better than many of the so called original vases, from any period. just my point of veiw. some say a picture
is worth a thousand words, can i see one in 20th c.
