Chinese Ginger Jar Daoguang period marking

by Joe
(Southampton NY)

Hi Peter,

A wealthy elderly couple in the Hamptons NY gave me a large Chinese (I think a ginger jar)
with red roosters, birds, butterflies, lilly ponds etc...also a drop of blue green clear glaze is on the interior bottom, orange marking underneath, orange line on base rim 360 degrees around, the lid is fine, and I know it has sat in their home for over 50 years. I don't know how old this is nor when it might have been made. The marking matches 1820-1851. Wondering if this of value. Thank you in advance.

Joe

Hi, to me this looks like a 20th century item with a mark that seems to be apocryphal. The colors are a bit out of the ordinary for the period.
