Hi Can anyone help date this figure. I think it is probably canton maybe circa 1900, any help would be appreciated. I have tried to find the mark but no success. Many thanks.
Hello John, The mark says it's made by Ye Yun-deng. On the Chinese web I have found only one comment on this porcelain painter:
"Porcelain painter of the republican period. Many of his works are figurines; high quality and artistry level."
I also think this is from the republican period because of the hairdo of the lady. From the pictures it looks like a hairstyle of the republican period. This is no doubt one of the best porcelain figurines of that period I have seen until now.
