Ceramic Statues in need of identification

by Jim
(Denver)

Dear Peter,
Hello Again! I would be grateful for any information on these two ceramic statues. The statues are open and hollow looking from below, but the material (clay) is fairly thick, maybe 1/2 in.

Thank you,

(Did you attend Cherry Creek HS in Denver?)

From their look the figurines seem to be depicting two immortals, but that is about all I can tell you.
For things like age it is necessary to look closely at the glaze, and the bottom.
If you have a line along the sides of the figurines, they were moulded, but sometimes the seam is removed. Further, with the older items that were made completely by hand, you should see finger impressions in the interior.

PS: No,I was never in Denver.
