plate mark
by: peter

From this picture this is an antique plate with a Japanese mark.
The mark says "Made by Fukagawa". Fukagawa was/is a Japanese company that has been operating since the 19th century. They also used other marks. This one could be from the Meiji era (1868-1912).

As this is an antique plate, you will not be able to just order a replacement as with more recent items. I wouldn't throw away the shards in case you want to do a restoration, if you don't find a similar one. :-)
