Kathy,

First, the item looks rather new.
I can see why you thought it might be a Sake bottle. But, Sake bottles don't have long necks and usually the side is either slightly conical or rounded, a cylindrical side would be rare.

The decoration looks rather like Chinese Kangxi, but this see,s impossible, this item cannot be 250 years old.
In addition to this, the faux Kangxi mark at the bottom is apparently printed. I would say this is a modern piece.

In ancient Chinese wares this shape does hardly exist, but 20th century shapes are much less conservative. And, although Japan has copied a lot of decorations in the past, whether they would do this now, including a faux mark...I doubt it. I would rather bet on a modern product made in China.
