Hi! How you doing today? Just wondering if this is newer or older? Is the writing chinese or japanese .Thank you for your help.

Hi James,
Looks magnificent.
This looks 20th century to me, but from these pictures I am not sure when. Rather second half, I would say judging from the bottom and mark.
The mark itself is a "Jingdezhen" mark used only later in the 20th century, and the style of handwriting was not used in marks early on, thus it seems to confirm what I said above.

Can you check with a magnifier whether it is hand-painted? the individual brush strokes should be clearly visible if it is.
