Hi,
This vase was give to me some years ago by my mother. It has been stored for many years and I have only just re-discovered it when cleaning out old boxes.

The only information I have ever been told about it, is that it was antique, other than that I no nothing about it.

Would someone happen to know the history, age, origin, value of this vase.

It has a different picture on each side and apart from needing a good clean it is in immaculate condition.

Kind regards,
J Chinnock

Hello,
I can't tell you much about it. It has a Chinese Qianlong reign mark, which probably is apocryphal.
I can't recognize any specific Japanese features, but the red decoration pattern doesn't look Chinese either.
I suggest to try and see if someone at asianart.com recognizes the pattern. They have people knowledgeable about Japanese ceramics over there.
