I PURCHASED THIS PAIR OF JARS AT AN ESTATE SALE APPROX. 25 YRS. AGO. CAN YOU TELL BY THE MARKINGS ON THE BOTTOM - THE AGE AND VALUE? THESE PICS ARE OF ONE OF THE JARS AND THE OTHER IS VERY SIMILAR BUT NOT EXACT.
THANK YOU.

CHINESE JARS WITH LIDS
by: Sue

Hi Peter,
Sounds like it is a good thing that I did not pay too much for them. Amazing what people will do to try to make a buck. At least they look good to me and are pretty decorations.
Thank you for your comments.

famille rose imitation
by: peter

Hello,
This looks like a 20th century famille rose item. Possibly around fourth quarter. From these pictures it could be printed rather than hand-painted.

The bottom is made to look old but it isn't. It has two fake reign marks from two different reigns which were apart 70 years.
